MineGenics team on Basel Life Science Week

With Alexey Moskalev before poster presentation!

A Great chance for MineGenics team to promote themself on global market: participation at one of the world-known International Conferences BLSW-2015.

September 2015 was very intensive for people from industry of life sciences, as the MipTec 2015 and Basel Life Science Week Conference were started. The event consists of the platform that brings together young scientists, researchers and investors from industry and academia to develop novel ways and prospective collaborations in the field of biomedical sciences in order to create and push forward innovations for longer and healthy life.

Being a leading European event for drug discovery MipTec  was exceptionally successful this year – more than 2700 participants have been registered. The Conference and Drug Discovery Exhibition took place in the heart of Europe – Basel, Switzerland and held from 21 - 24 September 2015 in the CCB.

"MineGenics" project with its co-founders Anastasia Shindyapina, Garik Mkrtchyan and Amina Ibragimova gained an amazing chance to attend the Basel Life Science Week & MipTec Exhibition 2015 with poster presentation on the following topic: "Identification of differentially expressed micro- and mRNA clusters in blood of patients with coronary artery disease: intersection with calcification pathways and implications in cardio-vascular diseases". Using bioinformatics analysis, they showed that patients with coronary artery disease might be grouped by patterns of the blood RNA markers expression which intersects with vascular calcification pathways. Data provided may have a positive outcome for cardio-vascular diagnosis strategy and personalized medicine.

In addition, they took a chance to express themselves as a serious and perspective company with the discussion about possible cooperation with Andrey Fomenko (IVAO foundation), Brian Kennedy (Director of Buck Institute for Research on Aging.), Bhupinder Bhullar (Novartis Pharma AG), Roch, Edouard Debonneuil - ActuRx and others.

MineGenics team would like to express a gratitude for giving an opportunity to attend this amazing event to the organizer of  Aging forum of BLSW – Alex Zhavaronkov.
