A diagnostics system for prevention of cardiovascular diseases

The global aim of our team project is to develop a test-based system, which detects calcification of cardio-vascular system at the early stage and defines a protocol for preventive measures of calcification development based on the blood biomarkers (mRNA and micro RNA) of the patient.

An algorithm of our web-based platform calculates the probability of development, stage of calcification and defines an optimal plan or scheme of preventive measures strategies for the particular patient based on the information presented for the analysis.
A minimum volume of blood sample can be used for analysis with “Minegenics” diagnostics test-system. Transcripts from blood plasma are analyzed by qRT-PCR using the list of “Minegenics” primers. Data with relative changes of differential markers of calcification are added to the online-platform “Minegenics” together with the results of biochemical and genetic analyses (if any).
The online-platform gives out the probability of calcification development and recommendations of potential drugs and biologically active compounds for preventive measure strategies of calcification based on the established ratio between RNA markers of blood and RNA markers of ascending aorta and aorta valves as well as results of biochemical and genetic studies.
